November 22

In the airport lobby Lisa and I went over to a little cafe in the corner and
ordered a couple of beers while I filled out my customs declarations. I couldn't
help thinking back to the Korean beers we drank in the lounge of the
Vladivostok airport at the very beginning of this journey. It seemed like such a
long time ago. Sipping our beers we sort of patted each other on the back and
joked about some of the more stressful moments of our travels. Although we
only met each other just a few months ago, I am sure that after this experience
we have become life long friends. I am really looking forward to the time when
we will get together and not have to talk about the next city or story that lies
ahead. In fact, we just found out that Lisa will have an overnight stay in Paris
when she flies back to the States next week. She'll finally get to meet my wife
and daughter and I have promised to cook a culinary feast.
