In one month I'm going into the army. I'm going to serve on a submarine. They don't tell you much about where you'll go, but they told me I was on the list for a submarine.

I wouldn't mind going to Chechnya. For the adventure. What is there to be afraid of? If you go, you go, and things that will happen to you will happen.

A friend of mine just got sent there four months ago. He's still there, as far as I know. He's hasn't come back here, anyway. There's a couple of guys I know that have gotten sent there. One guy came back paralyzed on the right side of his body. His face, his arm, everything.

My father wouldn't want me to go to Chechnya. He served in the army more than 20 years, but he wouldn't want me to be sent there. Probably because my older brother just died last year, and he would be afraid to lose his only other son.

After I finish my army service, I'd like to live in the country. My ideal life would be to work as a farmer, live off the land. I want to live someplace where the air is fresh, much fresher than here.
