Olga, 67
pensioner and cleaning lady

Feeding pigeons
on Karl Marx Street

I'm retired, but I still work three jobs. Cleaning. You don't get enough money on pension to live, and besides, it's boring to sit at home. I'm working a fourth job today, because the man who usually cleans this corner is sick

Cleaning is work: you do it, and you get it done. Not like these salespeople who stand outside all day to sell a few packets of cigarettes. All day they just stand and stand. Not me, I get my work done and go home.

Am I going to vote in the presidential elections? Well, what for? Let the young people go and vote; I'll sleep that day. It doesn't make any difference who wins anyway, they're all just a bunch of salesmen.
