I work on the Banner of Lenin Collective Farm. Things aren't like they used to be there; the equipment is old and needs repairs, but no one has the money. I've only got four more years there until I'm on pension, though.It's a nice idea, to have your own farm like Buyanto does, but for me it could never happen. My children are spread out all over, some live in Ulan-Ude, some live in other villages. He has his brothers to work there.
I don't grudge him anything he's got, though. They're good people, giving people. And they don't drink too much or smoke.
