I used to watch all these American movies and shows five years ago, when they first came out here. But now I find them boring; they're all the same! Every movie has the same plot, the same themes.

It's not that I think American culture is bad; I think that bad culture is bad. And a lot of what we get here from America is bad. Like Dynasty. Dynasty is a really stupid show. The acting is terrible. Santa Barbara's not so bad, though. At least the actors are decent.

I have always been interested in America, actually. When I was a girl, I had a whole file on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. I read everything I could find here about it. I definitely think there was a conspiracy, by the way. There's no way Oswald could have acted alone. Anyway, every time a major head of state gets assassinated, there's always a conspiracy involved.

My father calls me an American spy, because I belong to the Seventh-Day Adventist church. He says, "If you have to go to church, you should go to the Russian Orthodox Church. You are Russian!" My father is a dedicated communist, and an atheist. He doesn't believe in God himself, but if I'm going to believe, he wants to make sure I do it according to Russian tradition...
