The class featured instruction from invited participants, had slide presentations about form and aesthetic, took a field trip to the offices of The San Diego Union-Tribune and had ongoing group review of work in progress. It was understood that students have a basic knowledge of camera and darkroom skills, therefore technical elements were not emphasized. Instead, time was spent on developing style and personal vision. Dedication, responsibility and personal involvement with their work in society were the focus of the class.
