Who should attend F8?

F8 is for all developers, creators, businesses, partners and entrepreneurs who want to explore the future of technology with Facebook and its family of apps. Attendees will learn more about the products and the amazing work of the developers who are building across the platform.

What will I find at F8?

F8 is a two-day event where developers, creators, entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world gather to network and and explore the future of technology with Facebook and its family of apps. In addition to keynotes from Facebook leaders, there will be sessions, meetups and demos that showcase the latest in AI, open source, AR/VR, developer programs and new tools designed to help you build your products and grow your business.

We'll also celebrate and highlight the people and products coming out of our global developer community that enable the best of what people can do together.

All attendees are welcome to join the happy hours on days 1 and 2. This year, instead of having a headline performer, F8 happy hours will give attendees additional opportunities to connect with their peers and enjoy live entertainment, music, and games.

When and where is F8?

F8 2019 is a 2-day event held on April 30 and May 01 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. Check out the getting here page for directions and hotel information.

What's included in the Facebook family of apps?

The Facebook family of apps includes Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Oculus.

What is the ticket price?

The nonrefundable cost of admission is $595.

How do I register?

If you've received an invitation to register for F8, visit www.f8.com/register and enter your code. Applications for F8 2019 are now closed, but you can sign up to stream the keynote live by visiting www.f8.com/watch.

How do I get a confirmation of my registration?

You should have received an email copy of your receipt and your registration. You can print a copy of the email for your records. If you did not receive an email confirmation, please email us at registration@f8.com.

What if I can't attend in person?

Experience F8 no matter where you are. Join us online by signing up to stream. Tune in live to the keynote and watch session videos on demand. You can also follow the conversation on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

I am not a US resident or citizen. Is a visa required to attend F8?

Please check with your local government on the documents required for your travel to the US. You can also go to the getting here page for additional travel details.

I’m traveling from outside the US. Will F8 provide a visa letter to confirm I am attending F8?

You can receive a visa letter by email by sending a request to registration@f8.com. Please include “VISA LETTER” in the subject line and be sure to include your full name, country of citizenship, country of residence and dates of travel to the US. Note that visas take 5-7 business days to process once the information has been submitted. Visit the getting here page for more info.

Do you offer hotel accommodations?

We’ve partnered with nearby hotels to provide exclusive rates for F8 attendees. You can book your hotel room during your online registration process. We recommend booking your hotel early as space is limited and rooms book up quickly. Visit the getting here page for more info.

What is the hotel cancellation policy?

Changes or cancellations can be made by logging back into this site and updating your registration, or by contacting registration@f8.com. Changes made after the original booking are subject to availability.

Cancellations, no shows or reductions of stay made after your hotel's cancellation policy cut-off date may be subject to penalties, which will be charged to the credit card on file. Visit the getting here page for more info.

What do I need to bring with me to the conference?

Please bring a government-issued form of photo ID, such as a driver‘s license or passport, to be presented when you check-in.

Will you have security and bag check?

F8 is a private event in a public space. A security perimeter will be in place for the safety of all attendees all days, so arrive early to allow time for security screenings and bag check.

Where can I pick up my conference badge?

Badges will be available for pickup at the McEnery Convention Center from 4PM to 7PM on April 29 and from 8AM on April 30 and May 01.

Will meals be provided?

Yes, breakfast and lunch will be provided both days, and we’ll have snacks and beverages available throughout the conference.

What if I have a food allergy / intolerance?

Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available. Additionally, please check our menus to identify which items contain common food allergens.

Do you provide special accommodations?

If you require special assistance, auxiliary aids, or other reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this event, please email registration@f8.com. Information regarding disabilities and special assistance will remain confidential.

Will there be a mother's room?

Yes. This room is equipped with electrical outlets and Medela Symphony pumps for your convenience. Usage is first come, first served.

Who is this year's musical act?

Based on attendee feedback, F8 happy hour events on days 1 and 2 will give attendees additional opportunities to connect with their peers and enjoy live entertainment, music, and games instead of featuring a headline performer this year.

I can no longer attend F8. Will Facebook issue a refund?

Unfortunately, we do not issue ticket refunds for F8. We appreciate your understanding.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate ticket transfers for F8.
